Cayman Islands diving

As you step onboard, your equipment will be set up for you. A smooth & speedy ride out, allows us first pick of the dive sites. The first dive is guided by your Captain along the famous Cayman Wall. He will lead you in finding your favorite Caribbean creatures - moray eels, eagle rays, sting rays, hawksbill & green sea turtles, and maybe even a reef or hammerhead shark!

There are no diesel fumes to upset delicate tummies, and for those easily chilled, blankets will keep you snug during the surface interval. Bottled water, sodas, fresh fruit & cookies will be served. Meanwhile your tanks will be switched by the Captain. In fact - you'll be so relaxed - you'll be reluctant to get back in the water!

The second dive will be a shallow reef or top of the wall dive, in waters of 35 - 60ft. We will happily guide you on this dive too, but you are welcome to explore the reef in buddy teams if you prefer.

Following the dive, fresh water is available for you to rinse off, & towels are also provided. Naturally we will take care of your equipment too. Then settle in, refreshment in hand, as we whisk you back to dry land.

Captain Chris Alpers
Chris has been diving professionally since 1995 and guiding dives in Cayman waters for over ten years. He is a licensed US Coast Guard Captain, PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, DAN O2 provider, and Cayman Islands Marine Park Officer. Originating from Cleveland, Ohio, Chris is now a permanent resident & citizen of Grand Cayman.

Katie Alpers
Kate achieved Instructor status in 2000 with specialties in wreck, DPV, dry suit, boat & deep diving. She arrived in Grand Cayman from the chilly waters of England in 2001. To combine her creative talents with her love of diving, Kate's primary role is that of resident videographer. She can provide you with a beautifully edited movie of your dive excursion, complete with music & titles, presented on a DVD.

Chris & Kate both worked for several island dive shops and quickly learned that 16 - 20 passengers on a dive boat was not enjoyable for the experienced diver. Indigo Divers guarantees no more than six divers at a time. This allows for individual attention, less time waiting for other divers getting on & off the boat, and most importantly, when you are in the water you will not feel crowded.
